Hi, How are you?

I'm Robin.

I'd love to sit across from you, share a cup of tea, and hear your story.

Stories make up the fabric of our lives. Sharing your story touches others and often brings healing to your soul. Stories are memorable. Think of Jesus' teachings—he often used stories (parables) to make a point.

I don't have to make up stories. My everyday life provides plenty of material. Making others laugh fills my heart with joy. Especially if you laugh until you cry or snort.

Each of you has a story to tell. The cross-cultural worker can spin stories about language learning, uprooting the family from the familiar to the unknown, and ministering in hard soil. Pastor's wives can share stories of the joy and hurt involved in ministry and the feeling of living in a fishbowl. All of you have a story to share about your journey with Jesus.

Encouraging women is my passion. I identify with cross-cultural workers, women in ministry, minister's wives, and women trying to live lives that glorify God.

So, I plan to tell stories that bring laughter, offer encouragement, and, most importantly, help you see the hand of God in your everyday life, wherever you are in the world.

I look forward to swapping stories.

My Story

I am an ordinary woman who serves an extraordinary God. My story includes living overseas for 22 years, where my husband and I served as global workers in Russia and the Balkans. I speak Russian with an American accent, Greek with a Russian accent, and English with a Texan accent, with a few Russian words thrown in for good measure.

Several years ago, God led us back home to Alaska. Of course, the military considers Alaska an overseas assignment, and I suspect God does, too. I feel like I'm back overseas when I see mouth-watering commercials on TV for Red Lobster, only to realize there is no Red Lobster here. Or Chick-fil-a.

I'm a wife, a mother of two children, and a grandmother of 4 terrific grandkids. I've been a minister's wife, served as a cross-cultural worker, and mentored many amazing women.

I love to write, read, quilt, and craft, and my drink of choice is a large diet vanilla Coke from Sonic with lots and lots of ice. Oh, how I love that nugget ice. Overseas, I dreamed about Sonic ice. I still do.

I’ve been previously published in several compilations including Voices of the Faithful 1 & 2, Everyday Parenting, and Because of Hope: Reflections of Faith. Currently I write devotions for Thrive Connections.
